Rockstar of the Moment...

This news is two days old but the effected of it will be deep felt for years to come. South Africa has never really battled on the world sporting stage (sure the National Baseball side was the first team to generate the implementation of the 'skunk' rule in the games history but baseball shouldn't be played outside of the central Americas so we will concede that) and this is largely due to our steady flow of impressive talent.

However, despite parliaments best effort our sporting progress (post isolation) has been severely retarded by impinged individuals (wait I switcherooed those words)... has been severely impinged by retarded individuals.

Sure, I agree the dramatic inequalities that resulted in the social abatement of the oppressed majority had significant effects that need to be addressed but fast tracking players in professional sport into a competitive arena that they aren't ready for is not the answer.

Essentially "quotas" did more harm than good and despite a long history of their failure proving this no one at the top table admitted the emperor was naked.

Well this guy sits at the head of the top table in the sporting dining hall and when the president wants to talk footie at the highest table this is the man he chats to. Brief result. Our man here has balls and made the call.

Rev. Dr. Makhenkesi Stofile.

"Quotas are out," Stofile told the parliamentary sports committee."Let us put our resources into the development of talent."
